ABOUT THE ROLE


Kitsap Credit Union is hiring a full-time salaried Vice President of Product to work hybrid out of our Harborside Corporate office in beautiful downtown Bremerton, WA. As the Vice President of Product at Kitsap Credit Union you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and growth of our product offerings. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you will be responsible for leading the product management team, developing and executing product strategies, and ensuring the delivery of innovative and competitive products that meet the needs of our members and align with the credit union's mission and values. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Product to lead our product management team in driving the development and implementation of innovative digital and credit union products. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial services industry, a proven track record of product leadership, and a passion for leveraging technology to deliver exceptional member experiences.

Salary Range: $156,286 - $220,428 depending on experience


Bonus Target: 15% potential incentive of base pay

Key Responsibilities:



Product Strategy and Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the credit union's business objectives, market trends, and member needs.
  • Lead the product development process from ideation to launch, ensuring that products are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather member feedback to identify opportunities for new products or enhancements to existing ones.
  • Set objectives that empower product development teams to achieve key business results



Digital Transformation:

    • Lead the credit union's digital transformation efforts by spearheading the development and enhancement of digital banking platforms, mobile applications, and online services. Champion a user-centric approach to design and ensure that digital products meet the needs and expectations of our members.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the product management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear goals and performance metrics for the team, and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments, such as marketing, finance, and technology, to ensure seamless product development and implementation.
  • Leading conversations with existing and potential members of our ecosystem in order to identify evolving pain points, needs, and wants.



Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, including product planning, development, launch, and post-launch analysis.
  • Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics, and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive product adoption, usage, and profitability.



Member Engagement:

    • Cultivate deep insights into the needs, preferences, and behaviors of our members through data analysis, user feedback, and market research. Develop strategies to enhance member engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty through innovative product solutions.
Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure that all products comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with the compliance and risk management teams to assess and mitigate potential risks associated with new or existing products.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry best practices related to financial products and services.

Required Qualifications and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of financial services industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.



Preferred Qualifications and Education
  • Previous financial industry experience, desired.



SUPERVISORY STATUS


This position supervises others and is responsible for being results oriented, collaborative, delegate effectively, and embrace the organization's core values, ensuring team effectiveness.



Working conditions


This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required:

  • Constantly positions self in work environment
