Job Description:

The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety initiatives and protocols across all aspects of our supply chain operations worldwide. The position is to ensure the highest standards of safety are maintained throughout the supply chain network, minimizing risks to personnel, facilities, and business.

What will you do?


  • Develop and implement global supply chain safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with the Group safety strategy and international standards.

  • Create a global governance about the occupational safety and health management systems

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of supply chain processes, facilities, and transportation systems to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Corporate safety, logistics, operations, procurement, and quality to integrate safety requirements into all aspects of supply chain management.

  • Provide direction and animate the community of regional SERE managers and teams, ensuring consistent implementation of safety programs and initiatives across all locations.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure global safety performance and conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for supply chain personnel, emphasizing best practices, emergency response procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related incidents and emergencies, leading investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions as necessary.

  • Stay informed about emerging safety trends, technologies, and regulations relevant to the supply chain industry and recommend proactive measures to enhance safety performance.

  • Foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization by promoting open communication, accountability, and participation in safety initiatives.

  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on safety performance, trends, and initiatives, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.


What skills and capabilities will make you successful?

  • Continuous improvement background is required (Six Sigma black belt, Lean manufacturing, 8D, etc)

  • Strong leadership to influence and convince.

  • Demonstrated ability to create shared vision, inspire collaboration, and drive change with momentum.

  • Agility to execute on challenging constraints and to prioritize conflicting needs.

  • Strong data analysis skills

  • Mobilization of indirect resources in a matrix organization while keeping diverse teams engaged.

  • Willingness to own issues and solve problems.

  • Ability to directly interact with customers and understand their challenges.

  • Handling sensitive and confidential informatio

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • +10 years in Global safety/EHS in complex environments such as O&G, Chemical and construction industries

  • Supply Chain acumen

  • Digital, technology and AI savvy (be able to manage the collaboration with Digital teams)

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
