Job Description:

Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a Procurement Internship in Lexington, Kentucky. This position is on-site so the ideal candidate will be located in the general area. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a 6 month internship from May through December 2024 (Full-time in the summer and 17.5 hours when the academic school year is in session) . No visa sponsorship or relocation will be provided for this role.

What will you do?

• Productivity Project Management


• Creation of purchase orders for samples


• Support in price validation with Commodity Managers


• Maintenance and implementation of procurement tools


• Upkeep of procurement tools


• Communication with plant staff and other stakeholders

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Currently enrolled in a four-year university program obtaining your bachelors


• Preferred field of study include a form of Engineering (mechanical, industrial) & Business Management


• You have a interest in Procurement and Global Supply Chain


• Interest in procurement analysis, working in multifunctional teams and s upplier quality and engineering


• Strong verbal and written communication skills
