Finance Analyst – Financial Planning and Analysis

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
 

As a(n) FP&A Financial Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Analyzing financials to drive performance management, planning cycles, and resource allocation across the Consumer Business Group.


• Working with four business units and five area teams to provide insights on revenue management by analyzing, offering insight and expertise to suggest ways to improve growth.


• Leveraging data across multiple systems and platforms to drive financial reporting/analytics for QFR, QOR, MRE, Strat Plan, Operating Plan, and Weekly Trackers.


• Performing financial analysis, identifying actions and catalyzing decision-making to meet financial and operating targets.


• Review and analyze revenue activity through customer mapping, channel charts, POS (sell-in / sell-out) trends.


• Perform cause of change analysis relating to revenue across the business group


• Leading short-and long-term forecasting, planning and reporting processes, as well as providing overall financial guidance.


• Enhancing financial and analytical rigor across the finance function and increasing the use of daily/weekly management.


• Identifying and implementing ways to streamline current processes and drive additional efficiency and rigor. 


• Engaging extensively with FP&A teams in other Areas/Divisions within CBG as well as in other 3M Business Groups to share best practices. 

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution


• Three (3) years of experience in finance and/or accounting in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• MBA or Finance Graduate degree.


• Strong financial acumen with ability to translate complex business problems into financial terms.


• Strong experience and ability to influence the organization.


• Solid understanding of multiple workstreams and how they come together.


• Self-starter with the ability to drive change.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.


• Fluency in using SAP, PeopleSoft, Longview, BW, Finance Dashboard, and other 3M financial platforms/ systems to extract data.

Work location: Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $94,018 - $114,911, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
