Description: System Administrator (LINUX and Windows)
Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced System Administrator to join our team in a classified environment. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining system health and security posture, directly supporting customer mission-critical capabilities. This position is an onsite role.
Responsibilities:
Windows System Administrator:
Administer Windows Server 2012/2019 and Windows 7/10, including enterprise-level administration of common network services (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, Exchange).
Manage patch management (WSUS), McAfee ePO, clustering, OS upgrades, computer security, and system monitoring.
Proficiency in scripting, particularly PowerShell.
Deploy and administer systems in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Commercial Cloud Services (C2S).
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and troubleshoot efficiently.
Interact effectively with external personnel on significant technical matters.
Linux System Administrator:
Administer Oracle Linux-based systems with minimal support, including software patching, performance tuning, networking, user management (LDAP), and security patching.
Strong command-line environment skills.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Familiarity with scripting (Bash and Python).
Additional Job Details:
Basic Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required.
Ability to support occasional after-hour maintenance and on-call support.
U.S. citizenship required.
Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) or acquire one within 30 days of start date.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for hardware installations.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with desktop workstation collaboration products and protocols.
Proficiency in enterprise-level administration of common services (DNS, send mail, LDAP).
Basic network knowledge.
Strong analytic and research skills.
The work for this position will be performed at government facilities. Remote support is not authorized.
