This role involves supporting the implementation of SCADA control system architecture (using Ignition) alongside an AI platform in our manufacturing sites. The focus is on custom-built equipment and processing lines.



Compensation: $130,000 - $140,000 + Discretionary Bonus + 401k (50%) Match, 100% Medical Paid, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, PTO.

Responsibilities:


  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure for data retrieval, storage, and processing.
  • Facilitate seamless, secure development of high-level data applications and deployment of machine learning models.
  • Act as a technical liaison between IT, Engineering, and Manufacturing Groups for Ignition and AI implementation.
  • Implement new Ignition features while ensuring security, reliability, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues identified by manufacturing and support teams.
  • Complete Ignition development projects.
  • Collaborate with end users to enhance Ignition applications.
  • Participate in project planning and code reviews.
  • Follow SOPs and maintain open communication with supervisors and managers.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Potential travel to various sites for automation equipment support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:




  • Minimum 4-year BS degree in engineering (preferably with a minor in Computer Science) from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 2-8 years' experience in manufacturing with integrated software platforms/SCADA systems (e.g., Ignition).
  • Proficiency in Ignition scripting (Jython or Python/Java) and SQL for software solutions.
  • Ability to solve complex business problems using scalable software solutions.
  • Certified with Ignition 7.0 or higher.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
  • Experience integrating Ignition with PLCs for control and reporting.
  • Knowledge of SDLC preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with cGMP regulations and process control systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, machine vision) is a plus.
