Project Manager (DoD CIO NLCC)
Location: The Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
About Us: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO), National Leadership Command Capability (NLCC). As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in driving successful program outcomes within the scope, schedule, and budget of key initiatives. Your expertise, technical acumen, and collaborative communication skills will be essential in coordinating with various stakeholders, including Service, SecDef, Congressional, and Presidential staffs.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Serve as a Staff Officer in the Office of the DoD CIO, NLCC.
Provide strategic planning, implementation, and oversight for assigned projects.
Ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are achieved.
Technical Excellence:
Collaborate with involved staff and senior leaders to track technical planning.
Oversee system integration, verification, validation, and effectiveness analyses.
Assess costs, risks, and supportability for total systems.
Client Engagement:
Act as a primary spokesperson and consultant for government and contract personnel.
Provide expert insights and recommendations to advance project goals.
Maintain up-to-date communication with DoD senior leadership.
Program Analysis:
Represent NLCC in in-depth program analyses.
Collaborate with DoD stakeholders on requirements, concepts, hardware/software, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, deployment, and service life upgrades.
Facilitate eventual disposal considerations.
Site Surveys and Assessments:
Conduct site surveys and assessments in coordination with government and contractor stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration).
Active TS/SCI clearance
Proven experience in project management, preferably within defense or government sectors.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with evaluating systems, requirements, documents, and projects regarding Federal cybersecurity requirements and Federal Information Security Modernization Act controls.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
Reputation as an energetic and accomplished Service / Staff "Action Officer."
Strong working knowledge of pentagon processes and offices.
Knowledge of DOD (services, components, COCOMs, etc.) and the various players that are stakeholders in the Senior leader communications mission domains.
