Core Responsibilities

Responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting lab results
Running a chemistry analyzer for oral fluid drug screening
Oral fluid sample preparation for clinical testing
Follow laboratory's procedures for specimen handling/processing, test analysis, reporting, and maintaining records of results
Ensure quality control in collecting specimens, ensure appropriate sampling, and maintain accurate record keeping
Maintain laboratory instrumentation and supplies
Comply with all laboratory policies and OSHSA regulations related to safety and cleanliness
Practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations
Participate in routine proficiency testing for the lab
Perform all duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Chemistry or Biology required
1 year or more experience with high-complexity clinical testing required
Experience with clinical testing and instrumentation (chemistry analyzer) preferred

Knowledge of medical laboratory equipment uses and maintenance
Maintain patient, team member, and employer confidentiality; Comply with all HIPPA regulations.
Ability to adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities
Capability to understand and interpret documents such as professional journals, safety rules, procedure manuals, and government regulations.
Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail systems, and web-based programs.
Possess strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Schedule

8-hour shifts
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
