Position Summary:

The Lead Fitness Attendant will provide excellent, professional service by enhancing member experience. This role involves taking the initiative to collaborate with the Director and Manager

on class scheduling and organizing the cleaning of the Fitness Center, Pilates Studio, and Fitness Locker Rooms to support members' health and fitness goals. Additionally, the Lead Fitness Attendant will greet members and their guests, fostering professional relationships.

Essential Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Manages opening and/or closing duties, including overseeing Fitness Center, Pilates Studio and Fitness locker rooms according to SOPs.


• Responsible for providing additional support to management, such as assisting with equipment Maintenace, small group training billing and handling customer complaints or inquiries.


• Oversees the work of other fitness attendants and ensures smooth operations within the fitness center.


• Oversees various locker room shifts to maintain cleanliness and stocking.


• Oversees Group Fitness class schedules to monitor attendance, and handle setup and breakdown of classes.


• Familiar with all guest and reservation policies, Enforces Fitness Center rules and regulations.


• Handles front desk duties, updating member materials like class registrations, training appointments, and cancellations.


• Circulates the floor to assist and interact with members.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Energetic, enthusiastic, motivated, and organized.


• Excellent communication, organizational and promotional skills.


• Strong Work Ethic and professionalism.


• Available to work weekends/Holidays


• Working knowledge or willingness to learn, machine weight equipment, free weights, and cardiovascular equipment.


• Interest in fitness preferred.


• Available to open gym at 5:45 AM and close gym at 7:00 & 8:00pm.

• Hold current C.P.R. /A.E.D. certification.

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

• High School Graduated or equivalent preferred.


• Prior experience in similar setting preferred.


• Minimum 1 years’ experience in the same position preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and is frequently exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
