Position Summary

The Manager, Events role reports directly to the Head of Brand, DTC, & Hospitality and is responsible for managing and developing the Booker & My Favorite Neighbor events department. The goal is to provide best in class experiences to all clients and guests by creating unforgettable events that highlight our brand and our mission.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a working knowledge of Booker, My Favorite Neighbor, and Harvey & Harriet brands and products. Must maintain knowledge of operations and consumer offerings across all channels of DTC (direct-to-consumer) for our brands.


• Lead and develop events for Booker & My Favorite Neighbor and achieve committed financial results:
  
  
  • Conceptualize, coordinate and execute of all events onsite (Must be onsite and lead events)
  
  
  • Drive sales in the events channel and support company’s overall financial objectives
  
  
  • Develop relationships with key event sales partners such as local destination management companies and hotel partners
     
  
  
  
  


• Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams:
  
  
  • Participate in weekly meetings with brand, loyalty and hospitality partners to keep the teams informed and aligned with event functions
  
  
  • Demonstrate clear communications with Maintenance and Operations Manager regarding event logistics and any relevant safety procedures
  
  
  • Develop a transparent and collaborative working relationship with the greater hospitality team, specifically in regard to the use of shared facility spaces
     
  
  
  
  


• Maintain organization and inventory of events supplies in storage trailer


• Present, pour and educate the customer on selected wines for events


• Maintain strong customer service, verbal and communication skills 


• Represent the company and brand, professionally and graciously with both a professional appearance and demeanor


• Maintain strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hospitality experience; minimum 1 year of management experience


• Excellent communication skills required, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear responses to clients and directions to Booker Wines management team and employees.


• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office


• Strong organizational and time management skills


• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, evening, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of hospitality management experience


• 5+ years hospitality experience preferably winery, restaurant, or hotel.


• 2 years reservation management software experience preferably Tock, Triple seat, Wine Direct and other event management software

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

The employee frequently is required to sit or stand for long periods of time.  The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds (i.e. a case of wine).  Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and bending are required.

Work Environment: Working conditions at an event may require the employee to be outside for extended periods of time and/or occasionally in a kitchen with slippery floors.  Irregular shifts, nights, weekends, and long hours may be required, particularly when working an event. 

                 

Travel Required

Local and national travel may be required.

The salary range for this role is:

$78,800.00 - $118,200.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
