Summary

The Process Engineer, Data Analytics - Production Control is responsible for the collection of data and translating the data into meaningful information which drives production efficiencies and priorities. In this role, the ideal candidate will analyze data related to production demands for spare parts, retrofits, and new equipment builds and make actionable recommendations on what is produced and when. Will work independently, as well as part of a team, where decisions and results have an impact on the overall success of the Ipsen organization.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively develop and enhance Ipsen's business intelligence (BI) and analytics capabilities.
  • Utilize SQL to support BI and Analytics use-cases.
  • Works across the organization to partner with leaders in gathering their input and providing solid guidance which drives production efficiencies and priorities.
  • Works to gather meaningful data, often from scratch where nothing may exist initially, which can be used for production scheduling, planning and priority setting in operations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data. Understand the relationships between different data sets and their business implications.
  • Develop and implement assembly planning tools utilizing new and existing data models. Focus not just on the end results, but also on understanding the underlying processes and methods.
  • Create and maintain small- and large-scale datasets to support business operations, including data entry.
  • Implement & work with data visualization platforms (Sigma, Tableau, Looker, etc.) to transform business requirements into meaningful and insightful dashboards.
  • Manage, correct, and enhance operational understanding and utilization of the ERP system.
  • Assist in developing ERP standards to assist manufacturing and supply chain.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Possess a resourceful and proactive approach to data integrity and investigative mindset for understanding data models.
  • Proficient in data analysis and structured query language (SQL).
  • Possess sound knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods.
  • Possess advanced analytical skills. In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence (BI) software (such as MS Azure, Salesforce and/or Infor Intelligence).
  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights through data visualization.
  • Ability to focus on creation of datasets to better plan production across multiple facilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to effectively write professional reports, business correspondence and effectively make presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Ability to successfully work in a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to effectively present information via spreadsheets and computer software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Ability to timely respond to questions from managers, production supervisors, production personnel and customers.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to keep abreast of industry trends and develop dynamic pricing tools.
  • Ability to travel as required to Ipsen facilities.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, statistics, finance or other related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in BI/Analytics in a similar environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience in working with SQL and data visualization platforms.
