At the Stephenson Cancer Center, we have an exciting new job opportunity. The Contracts/Grants Account Manager will focus on clinical trial contract management to include budget/fiscal planning and control, day-to-day management of financial operations, revenue generating operations, and understand and escalate complicated issues.


Duties:



  • Provides direct administrative and fiscal management of clinical trial contracts. 

  • Manages the day-to-day business operations of the program.

  • Manages and supervises assigned staff.

  • Responsible for overseeing account reconciliation, invoicing, and accounts payable/accounts receivable management on over 200 clinical trial and grant accounts.

  • Responsible for financial planning and monitoring contract progress

  • Responsible for managing and overseeing payroll sources for the Clinical Trials Office, with over 200 employees on clinical trial and grant accounts

  • Liaison between accounting team and CTO budget office, regulatory, data management, and clinical teams on budget reviews, invoicing, payment reconciliation, sponsor questions and issues, as well as University units.

  • Oversee and coordinate team meetings and communications with internal & external stakeholders.

  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management, or closely-related field AND:



  • 60 months experience in business management, administration, accounting, finance, operations management or closely related area. 24 months of the required experience must be directly related to coordinating/managing sponsored grants or contracts.


Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree for a total of 108 months experience.


Skills:



  • Advanced working knowledge of databases and electronic tools.

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Advanced knowledge of standard AP, AR accounting practices.

  • Advanced organization skills.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to perform multitasks and handle stressful situations.
