Medicaid Whole Health Domain Director

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Must live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Medicaid Whole Health Domain Director will be responsible for developing specific national strategies for Medicaid Whole Health domains in support of the Medicaid business, aligning to Enterprise goals and State partner requirements.

How you will make an impact:

  • Leads key priorities and innovative themes of whole Health including but not limited to rural health, health equity, maternal child health, chronic conditions, behavioral health, social needs, non-clinical support services, wellness & prevention.
  • Assists executive leadership in assessing current environment, external factors, competitive landscape, and facilitates development of key strategies.
  • Partners with Enterprise Population Health and Community Health strategies to ensure aligned strategic direction for domain.
  • Supports various business leads in health plans; charged with utilize subject matter expertise to advise and support best practices while also balancing the individual needs of the markets.
  • Provides leadership and implementation guidance to whole health projects that are cross-organizational in nature, detailing key priorities identified from analysis, and existing and developing interventions.
  • Evaluates quality of interventions and advises on most effective courses of action based on outcomes.
  • Engages business planning leaders within the respective Medicaid and Growth Partner areas (including but not limited to Enterprise Quality, Health Equity Network, Marketing, and Clinical Services teams) to identify innovative interventions informed by state and local priorities, aligned to enterprise priorities and in coordination with National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborates with Business Development to enhance adoption of best practices and incorporate into RFP responses.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience with project management, strategic planning and/or consulting in the health care industry; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
  • Medicaid experience preferred.
  • Medicare experience preferred.
  • Masters preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with a broad understanding of the health care industry and the ability to develop and execute logical analysis to drive toward key decisions preferred.
  • Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.
