Job Summary | The Community and Economic Development Initiative of Kentucky (CEDIK) seeks a highly qualified individual to join our leadership team as a Program Manager Senior. CEDIK is a unit in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment with faculty and staff in several academic departments. CEDIK works closely with Cooperative Extension and with community organizations on projects that foster community and economic development in the state. CEDIK’s scope of work covers the land grant mission of the University; research, extension, and instruction. CEDIK’s extension programming is supported through competitive grant funding as well as contracts awarded by organizations and communities within Kentucky. This individual would be responsible for leading CEDIK’s Community Design efforts including facilitating community input sessions, applying community design best practices, creating tools and resources to encourage communities to guide themselves through visioning and planning. The successful applicant will create and deliver training to Cooperative Extension agents, local elected officials, planners and other stakeholders. In addition, this individual will provide support to two grant-funded projects designed to support CEDIK’s Environmental Justice and Brownfields Technical Assistance programs designed to build vibrant, healthy places. Education/experience: a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, architecture, planning, or a related field is required. The selected candidate is expected to have at least 4 years of relevant experience integrating community design and community engagement principles. MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint experience required. Program delivery, program development, and writing experience preferred. Must be organized, able to prioritize work, and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must work well as a team player, and perform well under deadlines. |
