Job Description:

The Department of Computer Science at Skidmore College invites applications for a one-year position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor or Lecturer beginning September 2024. This is a full-time position with a total of 18 teaching contact hours spread over two semesters.


 



Required Qualifications:


  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or significant professional experience in the field of Computer Science.



Preferred Qualifications:


  • Teaching experience in two or more of the following courses: Data Structures (CS209); Software Design and Object Oriented Programming (CS226); Algorithms (CS305); Computer Organization and Architecture (CS318); or an elective course as listed in the course catalog.
  • Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Pay ranges: 



Visiting Assistant Professor: $73,000 - $76,000



Lecturer: $60,000 - $68,000
