Assistant Baseball Coach



Salary: $4,000/yr



Classification: Part-Time



Reports to: Director of BSC/Athletics


Duties will include, but not limited to; assisting the head coach in all phases of an intercollegiate baseball program, recruiting within conference guidelines, teaching advanced baseball skills, assisting with the monitoring of individual's academic progress, overseeing transportation of the team, participate in fundraising activities, encouraging and demonstrating good sportsmanship, and processing of appropriate institutional and conference paperwork. This position reports to the head baseball coach and the athletic director.

Essential Functions


  • Assisting the head coach in all phases of an intercollegiate basketball program.

  • Recruiting within conference guidelines.

  • Teaching advanced baseball skills.

  • Assisting with the monitoring of individual's academic progress.

  • Overseeing transportation of the team.

  • Participate in fundraising activities.

  • Encouraging and demonstrating good sportsmanship.

  • Processing of appropriate institutional and conference paperwork.

  • Performs other work as required.
  • Qualifications



    Minimum Qualifications



    • High School Diploma or Equivalent

    • Demonstrated experience as a baseball coach, with experience at the high school, club or college level preferred.

    • Demonstrated understanding of intercollegiate baseball rules and regulations.

    • Commitment to a philosophy promoting student success.

    • Current first Aid/CPR certification.

    • Valid unrestricted Washington State Driver's License.



    Preferred Qualifications



    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

    Terms of Employment


    Assistant Coaches will be paid $4,000 annually.

    Conditions of Employment Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant's suitability and competence to perform in the position. In addition to the background check, candidates will be required to complete the Sexual Misconduct Disclosure Form as required WB HB 2327.
