As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials and products within warehouses, storage yards, factories, or construction sites. Your role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods and maintaining a smooth workflow in a variety of industrial settings.
Responsibilities
Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner following all safety guidelines and procedures.
Conduct pre-operational checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition.
Adhere to speed limits, traffic patterns, and designated pathways to prevent accidents and injuries.
Load and unload materials and products from trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift.
Transport materials to designated storage areas or production lines as directed.
Stack and arrange materials and products in an organized manner to maximize space utilization.
Assist in inventory management by accurately counting, recording, and reporting inventory levels.
Conduct cycle counts and assist with periodic inventory audits as required.
Update inventory records and documentation using computerized systems or manual logs.
Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage or loss during handling and transportation.
Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to supervisors.
Follow quality control procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
Perform routine maintenance on the forklift, such as checking fluid levels, cleaning, and lubricating components.
Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to maintenance personnel for timely repairs.
Keep the work area clean and organized, including the forklift and surrounding storage areas.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure workflow efficiency.
Assist other team members with loading, unloading, and material handling tasks as needed.
Work collaboratively to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift operator certification/license.
Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of forklift safety regulations and procedures.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.

Close visual work on a computer terminal
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
