School of Nursing and Health Studies at the University of Miami is seeking a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor. Candidates must have a PhD in Nursing or related field, a valid U.S. RN license and at least 2 years of progressive experience in addition to an outstanding portfolio in advanced nursing education. Candidates with Post-Doctoral Training are preferred.


Responsibilities include teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs, academic advising of students, scholarship and research activities, community and academic service activities, and participating in School committees.


Additional duties include the evaluation of student performances, development of teaching methods, delivering a range of teaching and assessment activities including lectures, coursework, practical's, placements according to own area of subject specialism, carry out designated School functions, including, participation in committee work, assisting in the process of admissions and preparation of submission for teaching quality.
