Patient Financial Representative (Full-Time, Monday-Friday, Standard Business Hours)

Haven Behavioral Hospital of Phoenix is a 57 bed acute-care psychiatric hospital that offers a full continuum of care for anyone dealing with mental health and substance abuse issues, from young adults to seniors. We do that by focusing on the whole person. Our customized, team approach to mental health and addiction treatment helps patients build on their strengths through expert strategies in an inpatient setting.

POSITION SUMMARY

* Business Office (admissions, discharges, insurance/payor verification, financial counseling, charge entry, billing, collections, denials)

* Accounting (purchasing, invoicing, various logs)

* Responsible for the accuracy of the accounts receivable patient set-up.

* Facilitates patient evaluation and admission by providing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

* Interacts daily with Intake, Utilization Review, Nursing, Social Services, Medical Records Departments as well as the Centralized Business Office (CBO), and facility CEO.


EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience


EXPERIENCE: * Minimum of two years of business office experience, preferably in a healthcare behavioral health setting. * Excellent math, Microsoft Excel, customer service, and communication skills. * Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and insurance verification process.



As mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) all employees and regular contractors of Haven Behavioral Hospital of Phoenix are required to obtain the COVID-19 Vaccine or receive approval for an exception prior to date of hire.
