Job Description:

Blizzard is looking for a player-centric community professional to develop and grow the Diablo Immortal community. The ideal candidate has a deep and intrinsic understanding of how communications, content, social media, influencer relationships intersect with each other, and is adept at crafting community plans that cohesively bring all these elements together. They are a tireless advocate for the voice of the player, constantly seeking to build bridges, trust, and foster constructive dialogue with the community.

Responsibilities


  • Contribute to content strategy and player-facing communications, including active engagement on community channels and reactive messaging

  • Coordinate with teams in creating compelling product communications such as blogs, patch notes, presentations and more

  • Develop and execute key community initiatives including community centric events and contests to help foster growth

  • Manage content calendars and milestones, delivering content to cross-functional and regional teams

  • Help support creator strategy including identifying potential new creators while supporting and building long-term relationships with existing partners

  • Advocate for players to the dev teams by providing meaningful reporting on pain points and feedback the community may be experiencing.

  • Track, analyze and report on content and program performance data to drive continuous improvement, optimization, and innovation


Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience building communities and collaborating with cross functional teams in initiatives.

  • Familiarity with Diablo franchise titles (especially Immortal!) and ARPG's through the understanding of game mechanics, community channels, and content creators.

  • An understanding of the mobile gaming market and trends, with the ability to identify and develop new community growth opportunities

  • A strong understanding of what communities look for and where they talk and interact with others

  • In-depth knowledge of current community and content distribution channels, and the role they play in community and publishing strategy

  • Highly organized, proactive self-starter, with demonstrated ability to plan and self-manage concurrent content pipelines and programs

  • Ability to think on your feet, multi-task like a champ, and think both strategically and creatively

  • Experience working with 3rd party gaming communities and content creators

  • Likes a good meme


Pluses

  • Degree in communication, marketing, or relevant job experience

  • Experience with mobile game communities and mobile gaming in general

  • Project management training and experience

  • Proficiency with Confluence, Miro, JIRA, Sharepoint, Sprinklr, Wrike

  • A passionate gamer possess-ing ample experience with Blizzard games

  • Existing strong personal network within Blizzard's communities

  • Video publishing and/or graphic design experience

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $23.85 - $44.12 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location.
