As a full stack web software engineer on the E-commerce Checkout team, you will join a group of engineers dedicated to building a global platform allowing our fans world-wide to experience Blizzard content. You will be a part of our continuing efforts to evolve our order acquisition and payment pipelines to keep up with an ever-changing commerce landscape. You will also be exposed to the inner-workings of the online and mobile payment spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement everything from new user experiences to back-end optimizations for web, mobile, and in-game purchasing

• Collaborate with Web Shop, Payments, Orders, Catalog and other teams

• Partner with product managers to enable in-game commerce experiences

• Work with Battle.net Design System team to apply and contribute to a collection of Web Components

• Implement and manage our deploy pipelines and server infrastructure

• Monitor, debug, and improve several critical to business production services • Perform research to acquire new knowledge necessary to perform tasks

Requirements:

• 10 years of professional fullstack engineering experience

• High profieciency Java, Node, or another object-oriented language

• Experience with web services, messaging middleware, security, micro-services, and n-tier architectures

• Familiarity with testing practices, including unit, regression, acceptance, functional, and load testing

Extra Points:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering

• AWS experience (DynamoDB , Lambdas, ECS, S3, ELB, EC2), or equivalent

• Single Page Application framework such as React, Angular, or Vue

• Practical knowledge of A/B testing tools and frameworks like Optimizely

• Understanding of scalable and highly concurrent server architecture design

• Experience with Docker or other container platforms

• Passion for technology and video games

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $146,000.00 - $270,004.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
