CRAs Shreveport, Louisiana office seeks aLaboratoryDirector,preferablywith regional (Southeast and South Central) experience. TheLaboratoryDirectoris responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring alllaboratoryprocessing and analyses.This is a supervisory position and requires flexible and efficient time management skills and an ability to prioritize workload while supervisinglaboratoryprocedures for multiple projects.The minimum education requirement for this position is an undergraduate degree in anthropology with a specialization in archaeology. At least five years of experience working in an archaeologylaboratory are required, at least three of which were preferably in a supervisory position.The successful candidate will have astrong working knowledge of both prehistoric and historic archaeology and related practices and artifacts. The required skill set includesoutstanding written and verbal communication skills, excellent personal computer skills, and proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat and other word processing and spreadsheet programs. The ideal candidate will behighly organized, detail oriented and logical, and will possess outstanding analytical and observation skills.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:
Overseeslaboratorytechnicians duringprocessing and analyses of project collections; Under supervision of or with the assistance of the Principal Investigator writes data analyses section of technical reports; Under supervision of or with the assistance of the Principal Investigator performs specialized analyses; Develops, modifies, and implementslabmethods and procedures for processing and analysis of materials; Maintains, controls, and monitors field andlaboratoryequipment; Responsible for coordinating with curatorial repositories for the final disposition of artifacts and projects records; Responsible for preparing collections for curation and arranging delivery to curatorial facilities; Completes any other duties as assigned.

The position is a full-time, salaried position with a full benefit package.Salary for this position is between $60,000 and $70,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
