Position Description Summary:
The Team Lead (Lead Planner) will provide daily leadership and direction to the process planners, production control, and workflow coordinator. Establishes and manages an integrated schedule of fabrication jobs. Coordinates with the Fabrication & Outsourcing Manager to establish priority of planning packages. The position will provide monthly deliverables to upper management and must be able to present those to the NASA customer on a regular basis. This position will report to the Fabrication & Outsourcing Manager and will reside in building 4705, Marshall Space Flight Center. The primary customer is the NASA ES20 Fabrication Manager, whose customers may include NASA programs/projects, other Government agencies, or commercial companies.
Some travel may be required.
Required Experience/Education:
Applicants should have experience in utilizing and working within the NASA Visual system utilized for planning and implementing fabrication requests for in-house and outsourced fabrication jobs. Demonstrated skill in oral and written communications. Works well with other employees. Understanding of Production Scheduling, Fabrication, Precision Assembly, and Precision Cleaning.
Security Clearance Requirement:
Applicants selected for positions requiring a Security Clearance will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position does not require a security clearance. However, a government security background check will be conducted, and applicants must meet eligibility requirements for government issued credentials and other accesses.
Preferred Experience:
Desired experience providing integrated schedule products and interfacing with customers. Previous leadership experience involving multiple employees. Previous experience working with NASA contract and/or financial information and personnel.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment.
Work attire must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk / hazard to the employee or others.
