The Job Details are as follows:

The Strategic Account Director is responsible for driving revenue growth and market penetration within large US customer accounts. This position demands a seasoned professional with exceptional strategic thinking, sales acumen, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within strategic customer accounts.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within strategic accounts.

  • Identify new business opportunities and drive initiatives to grow revenue and increase market penetration.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, sales, marketing, and finance to align strategies and support customer needs.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to strategic customers, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their business objectives.

  • Drive customer satisfaction and retention by delivering exceptional service and value-added solutions.

  • Stay abreast of industry developments, best practices, and emerging trends to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field; MBA/MLS preferred.

  • 7-10 years of experience in strategic account management.

  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets within strategic accounts.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and develop innovative sales strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level executives and key decision-makers.

  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer value and driving business outcomes.

  • Experience in the information industry, publishing, library, or technology services industry preferred.

  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events. (50-75% of the time)
