In collaboration with colleagues, conduct continuous course and program assessment, facilitating changes as indicated. Market the programs, recruit students, and advise the College on accreditation standards. Facilitate student learning outside of the classroom through participation in internships and cooperative education experiences, student activities, college, and community events.Key Measurable Expectations
Learner-centered Instruction: Teach Child Development and Education courses according to student learning objectives. Continuously assess student learning to maintain and improve course and program curriculum and instruction. Promote learner-centered scheduling, including competency-base education (CBE), online courses, Blendflex and Hyflex courses, evening courses, and off-campus courses.
Curriculum Development: Develop and/or revise course(s) and instructional methodologies in collaboration with colleagues, mindful of accreditation and transfer requirements. Propose and develop interdepartmental course offerings, contextualized, modularized, and/or computer assisted courses that meet student needs.
Technology: Integrate instructional technology as appropriate in the disciplines of Child Development and Education, including online and web-enhanced instruction, lab instruction, Blendflex and Hyflex instruction, and CBE.
Involvement: Support College-wide initiatives and serve on committees. Mentor and support adjunct faculty and high school partners.
Professional Development: Initiate and maintain active participation in professional development opportunities in content areas and in teaching effectiveness and maintain affiliations with local, regional and national Child Development and Teacher Education associations and transfer colleges.

Coordination: Perform coordination duties for the Child Development and Teacher Education programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or Master's degree in Education with 18 hours in Early Childhood
2,000 hours work-related, non-teaching experience
Demonstrated ability to teach courses in both Child Development and Teacher Education
Knowledge of Blackboard or other course management software
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CBE
Experience scheduling and staffing courses
Experience supervising adjunct faculty and staff
