Summary of Duties:


The Department of Integrative Physiology and Neuroscience (IPN) in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University in Pullman, WA is seeking an outstanding academic instructor to fill a full-time, continuous 12-month career track faculty position with an emphasis in comparative and clinical domestic animal anatomy instruction at the rank of Assistant Professor Career Track-Teaching.



Instructional duties will include participation in team-taught small and large animal anatomy courses for professional DVM students, as well as development and delivery of a domestic animal anatomy course for undergraduate students. Course directing and/or co-directing as needed is expected, as is taking a role in a microanatomy course for DVM students. Additional duties will depend on the interests and experience of the successful candidate and could include (but are not limited to) participation in other professional program coursework, participation in active College programs focused on excellence in teaching and the scholarship of teaching and learning, or a collaborative role in departmental research programs. The successful applicant must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with a diverse population of colleagues and students.





Required Qualifications:


Applicants must have an earned DVM, PhD, or equivalent degree in one of the following areas:veterinary medicine, anatomy or physiology and experience teaching gross anatomy in a professional DVM (or equivalent) program.






Preferred Qualifications:


Preference will be given to applicants with a breadth of anatomy knowledge that will allow them to teach gross anatomy and microanatomy and to participate in specimen preparation and innovations in teaching.

Annual Salary:


$108,420 - $110,000



In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
