OBJECTIVE:
Efficiently and accurately receive all door and window special orders, check for correctness and quality, notify customers and salespeople when material has been received, help load will call material, and return all incorrect material to vendors.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Check forklift for safe and proper operation before use each shift, and perform weekly written check. Maintain valid Cal OSHA lift truck certification
Unload vendor trucks by hand or lift truck safely and efficiently. Check material received against purchase orders and shipping documents to verify correct material and in good condition
Send paperwork to Accounts Receivable in a legible and organized form
Update orders with date material received and location code. Notify customer if material is for Will Call, and notify salesperson if material is for delivery
Notify vendor and salesperson of any defective/backordered material. Update order with revised due dates and make duplicate purchase order packet as needed for returns and backorders. Stage material to be returned to vendor
Provide all Will Call order material to customers, ensure completed and signed orders are forwarded to salespeople; ensure all cash orders have been paid in full before material is released to customer. Invoice all Will Calls unless there are credits of other issues that you detect
Keep warehouse clean, organized and free of debris
Must be able to lift 70lbs
Warehouse hours are M-F 6-5pm, Sat. 6-4pm. Work shifts will be within these times
