Purpose


Design and engineer medium power transformers.


Responsibilities & Duties or Main Responsibilities

  • Design the electrical parts of the transformer based on existing information.
  • Develops new rules for designs not necessarily in our established product scope.
  • Responsible for bidding and making designs to fulfill bid requirements.

Education & Experience


Electrical Design Engineer

Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent (foreign degree accepted), and at least seven (7) years of prior relevant experience in electrical engineering or power transformer design. Licensure is not required for this position.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Must satisfy the minimum requirements of the Electrical Design Engineer with at least eight (8) years of prior relevant experience. Must exhibit superior design knowledge in all categories. Capable of checking and verifying designs.


* Must live within or be willing to relocate to a reasonable safe commute to the Lynchburg, VA plant.
