Description Position Title: Educational Leadership Graduate Assistant
Report to: Director of Graduate Programs in School Administration and Leadership Studies
College: College of Education, Leadership Studies, and Counseling
Session: Academic (August 12, 2024 - May 16, 2025) This is a one-year placement with an opportunity for re-application and hire.
Hourly Rate: $17.00/hour
Average hours per week: Up to 20 hours per week
Description: CELC Educational Leadership Graduate Assistant serves in a supportive role for MEd in PreK-12 Administration and Supervision and the EdD in Leadership Studies graduate programs.
Responsibilities:

  • Administrative support for (30%)




    • Program Director related to program operations, policies, and procedures o Program students related to program operations, policies, and procedures o Program informational Moodle pages




    • Accreditation and state approval requirements




    • Program event planning and preparation




    • Student recruitment efforts through outreach and event attendance






  • Support applicants to the MEd in PreK-12 Administration and Supervision and the EdD in Leadership Studies graduate programs in navigating the application and onboarding process (20%)




  • Create and distribute digital marketing materials (e.g., event promotional materials, video content, photos for social media and websites, event flyers, etc.) (20%)




  • Manage and create content for social communication platforms and website for the MEd in PreK-12 Administration and Supervision and the EdD in Leadership Studies graduate programs (20%)




  • Coordinate marketing efforts with the CELC Marketing GA and MARCOM (10%) o Recruitment, social media communications, and marketing

  • Qualifications Qualifications:

  • Must be a current full-time graduate student at the University of Lynchburg.




  • Preference will be given to students currently enrolled in one of the Masters of Education Programs within CELC.
