About the Role:

As a rapidly expanding organization, we are in search of a seasoned Senior Manager, Global Employment Tax to spearhead our global payroll compliance, audit, and tax operations. This role is poised for a leader passionate about forging new paths in employment tax strategy and compliance on a global scale.

As the Senior Manager, Global Employment Tax, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of our employment tax processes globally. You’ll be the architect of our employment tax strategy, ensuring compliance across multi-state and multinational spectrums, and crafting systems that guarantee our tax operations are both robust and efficient. This role reports to the Head of Global Payroll, who will provide support to accomplish your goals.

Your main responsibility will be to innovate and standardize our employment tax operations, enhancing our compliance framework while navigating the complexities of global payroll taxes. Through your leadership, you’ll develop a global team adept at upholding our company’s compliance, setting the benchmark for excellence in payroll tax management.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategy and Compliance Leadership: Craft and execute a comprehensive employment tax strategy, ensuring compliance with global payroll tax requirements, regulations and internal and external audits.

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee and participate in the operational facets of payroll tax, including setup, implementation, review, reconciliation, and reporting, driving both precision and efficiency, and understanding that hands on leadership is necessary while growing the team.

  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure repeatable and reliable employment tax operations.

  • Team Leadership: Act as a people leader for a dynamic global team, fostering a culture of growth, innovation, and collaboration.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization, ensuring a collaborative approach to achieving our global compliance and tax objectives. Be comfortable engaging with and supporting executive leadership.

  • Process Improvement: Champion process standardization, automation, and control enhancements, leading the charge for operational excellence in employment tax.

What You’ll Need:

  • A passion for driving change in the field of employment tax and compliance, coupled with a 15+ year track record of operational leadership in a global context.

  • Extensive experience in global payroll taxes, with a deep understanding of multi-state and international tax regulations.

  • Proven ability to design and implement effective tax strategies, processes, and quality assurance systems.

  • Strong leadership qualities, with experience in managing and growing teams in a collaborative environment.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across various departments and levels within the organization.

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $115,000 - $190,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
