Job Description:

The Lead Pharmacy Technician is accountable for leading the day to day activities of the technician staff, scheduling technicians, and providing staff development. The Lead Technician, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, is responsible for performing a variety of duties in the pharmacy including routine filling or refilling of medication and supply orders, packaging, clerical, and other standardized duties.


This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.


This position reports to the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.



Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required


• Current Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician Registration required


• Proficiency in all job functions of the Pharmacy Technician 2 position required


• Demonstrated supervisory and coaching skills preferred


• Three years of hospital pharmacy technician experience required
