Job Title: Propulsion Engineer
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Computer Aided Design for drafting
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the Maritime Industry
- Experience in writing and conducting test procedures
- Experience in technical writing, including the development of Work Items, Technical Manuals, Training Manuals, and Proposals
- Ability to conduct Ship Checks for cost estimates and engineering changes for propeller system upgrades and repairs
- Experience in supporting R&D projects and production requirements
- Ability to research, develop, and apply advanced engineering concepts to solve complex manufacturing problems
- Experience in reviewing new designs for production ability, considering factors such as cost, quality, safety, delivery, and production capabilities
Responsibilities:
- Develop and draft designs using Computer Aided Design tools
- Conduct tests, write procedures, and manage events
- Develop technical manuals, training manuals, and proposals
- Conduct Ship Checks to develop cost estimates and engineering changes for propeller system upgrades and repairs
- Support R&D projects and production requirements
- Work with a Production team to quickly identify and resolve problems
- Apply advanced engineering concepts to solve complex manufacturing problems
- Review new designs for production ability, considering factors such as cost, quality, safety, delivery, and production capabilities
- Manage and prioritize multiple project timelines
- Optimize, add new features, and improve existing control systems
- Conduct field upgrades and startups
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed
