Meet the team:



You will join a best-in-class, creative state government relations, policy and advocacy team that has had continued success in driving Medicaid access for Dexcom's life-saving Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) technology.



Where you come in:



  • You will design and execute strategies for outreach to government officials in targeted states to ensure policy, reimbursement and profitable CGM access with Medicaid populations.

  • You will serve as the primary interface with state government decision makers and key state advocacy organizations as they relate to policy, reimbursement and access at the state level.

  • You will understand and communicate cross functionally the political and economic conditions of the state within the evolving health care climate for patients with diabetes.

  • You will build and manage relationships with key government and advocacy groups to further the company's objectives with state governments.

  • You should have knowledge of key Federal policies and initiatives that would impact state strategies with regards to access.

  • You will ensure full compliance with all Federal and State lobbying requirements, registration and reporting.

  • You must understand key business issues in the diabetes landscape and be able to analyze how state policy changes could impact the business (key business acumen).




What makes you successful:



  • You have demonstrated success in executing administrative (policy) and legislative state government affairs. Experience in Medicaid is essential to this role.

  • You have experience in management of state contract lobbyists, contract negotiations and performance management.

  • You are experienced in working in a cross-functional, matrixed business organization.

  • Optional: you have worked with government groups and/or advocacy groups at the state level.

  • Optional: you have experience in the healthcare/diabetes space.

Travel Required:





  • 25 to 50%




Experience and Education Requirements:



  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.

  • At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience
