Summary

IT Analyst/Software Engineer plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and information technology. A successful candidate must be able to understand QED’s business needs and must also be able to implement solutions that meet the business requirements using a variety of IT technologies. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements.

• Design, install, and upgrade IT solutions to meet business needs.

• Integrate multiple systems and reconcile needs of different teams

• Propose system modifications, develop, install, and test software solutions.

• Plan and oversee projects.

• Train and support employees on new systems and procedures.

• Keep abreast of IT technology trends and developments

Supervisory Responsibilities

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or in another engineering discipline if applicant has sufficient IT or software development experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of four years industry experience.

Required Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have:

• Demonstrated proficiency for understanding IT concepts such as identity, security, compliance, networking, databases, APIs, etc.

• Demonstrated proficiency for software programming in a language such as Python, C#, AL, or other similar language.

• Demonstrated proficiency for critical thinking and troubleshooting.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Excellent project management and time management skills.

Other Desired Engineering Skills and Abilities

The following skills, although not required, will be considered a plus when evaluating a candidate:

• Microsoft Dynamics Business Central AL programming experience

• Microsoft Dynamics CRM customization experience

• Microsoft Power BI experience, especially as it relates to data mining and analysis of data from Microsoft Dynamics BC and CRM

• Microsoft Power Automate experience

Travel, domestically and internationally may occasionally be required (<5%) in order to perform the essential functions of this position.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 to $107,000. The rate offered will be dependent on the skills and experience of the candidate as compared with current employees with similar skills and experience.
