Student Research Assistant who provides research lab support in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Rheumatology and Immunology; under direct supervision, arranges, cleans, and/or tests research or lab equipment; provides assistance in performing tests or investigations using research equipment; performs other assistance in support of a research program; assists with collecting, compiling and analyzing research data; assists with generating reports as needed; assists with maintaining research supply inventory and orders supplies as needed; picks up, sorts, and distributes mail; make copies and files; run errands. Participates in mentored research. On-the-job research training will be provided.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
Students must be enrolled in a degree-granting program and meet work study requirements; experience operating personal computer and other office equipment required; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required; prior laboratory experience and completed laboratory courses are preferred; experience in a clinical research setting desired; Requires successful completion of a background check; selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
