Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Proprietary Products will be responsible for growth, retention, and capability development efforts for Bread Financial's direct to consumer product suite. The individual will utilize strategic insights, industry knowledge, and executional skills to provide key contributions to business growth. The Senior Manager will work in a matrixed environment with partners across the organization, including Marketing, Data Science & Analytics, Credit Management, Technology, Finance, and Operations. Responsibilities include development of acquisitions and portfolio management strategies, product roadmap management, and key performance indicator reporting and analysis.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:


  • Develop and execute a plan to accelerate revenue growth of various proprietary products.

  • In partnership with cross functional teams, prioritize and deliver initiatives needed to achieve the growth plan across the full value chain, inclusive of marketing (acquisition, portfolio/retention, and product positioning), product capabilities, and customer experience.

  • Partner with Senior Leadership on budget planning, forecasting, and financial performance management.

  • Work with technology team and other subject matter experts to scope and gather product project requirements to develop business cases and launch new product features and capabilities.

  • Partner with Finance and Analytics to report on key performance metrics.

  • Work with Marketing to develop and optimize acquisition and existing customer marketing strategies and campaigns.

  • Serve as strategic lead for project teams related to issue remediation.

  • Perform competitor & industry research leveraging both public and non-public sources.

  • Build cross-functional relationships by establishing trust and confidence across the organization.

  • This position is hybrid with an onsite schedule of 3-4 days per month. In-office requirements are subject to change based on business needs. This position is currently available to candidates that reside within 60 miles of Columbus, OH; Chadds Ford, PA; Coeur D'Alene, ID; Plano, TX; Draper, UT; Wilmington, DE; or New York, NY;

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance or equivalent experience

  • Eight or more years work experience in Product Management, Marketing, or Project Management in the Financial Services industry.

Preferred Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree or higher, focus in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance

  • Ten or more years proven experience developing and managing product and marketing strategies for Direct to Consumer Financial Services products. Demonstrated understanding of P&L management, consumer behavior, and marketing analytics.

Typical Starting Range:
$108,300.00 - $196,300.00

Full Salary Range for position:
California: $124,600.00 - $245,400.00

Colorado: $108,300.00 - $206,100.00

New York: $119,200.00 - $245,400.00

Washington: $113,700.00 - $225,700.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial's 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time ("PSST") upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
