Schneider Electric is seeking a Power Automation Intern starting June 2024 at our Nashville, TN, Raleigh, NC, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, or Dallas, TX location.

Are you a dynamic and driven early talent looking to gain short-term, hands-on experience in the world of Power Automation Systems? Join us as a summer intern and take on exciting tasks that will further our business.

We are seeking a motivated Power Automation Systems Intern to support a significant, high-valued opportunity focuse on intelligent fast load shedding (iFLS). This role will involve extensive in-office collaboration with Lead Engineers and Application Engineers to contribute to project deliverables. You will have the unique opportunity to gain insight into customer specifications and will be mentored by our Tech Leads to assist in project documentation.

What will you do?


  • Collaborate with Lead Engineers and Application Engineers on the intelligent fast load shedding project

  • Assist in understanding customer specifications

  • Contribute to project documentation under the guidance of Tech Leads

  • Engage in cross-functional teamwork to support the successful execution of the project

What qualifications will make you successful?


  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related fields

  • Available for a full-time summer internship starting in June 2024

  • Experience with any of the following is preferred but not necessary: electrical distribution and/or automation equipment such as switchgear, programmable logic controllers, human machine interfaces, and SCADA systems.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate with executive stakeholders
