Department Summary:

The Global Security Department designs and implements security protocols and procedures for international projects in addition to enforcing Tetra Tech Duty of Care standards. Global Security staff also conduct risk assessments, training for international security staff, and respond to international security and emergency incidents.

Position Summary:

MSI has a robust Global Security Department that is hiring an intern to provide support on a variety of different avenues. Internships allow for a maximum commitment of 35 hours per week with a flexible schedule and is presently remote. This is a paid position, and we anticipate the candidate starting soonest after presenting an offer.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Global Security Department in gathering, organizing, and updating global security project protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments of current and/or future project countries.
  • Assess operating risks and future potential macro or micro security issues in relevant regions or countries.
  • Assist in the development and organization of internal USAID project safety and security protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in international relations, international development, security, or intelligence.
  • Minimum one year of relevant office experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Strong organizational, evaluation, and research skills preferred.
  • Fluency in English required.

Pay Transparency Statement:

The compensation for our internship program is $16.20 per hour.
