My client is a fantastic family-owned and operated construction general contractor who has been operating for 45+ years in the Chicagoland area. Due to the substantial growth this firm is experiencing, they are now actively hiring a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team.



Your new role


As Senior Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for analyzing costs, monitoring budgets, and providing valuable insights to support effective decision-making within the company. You will have direct oversight and responsibility for budget management, financial reporting, forecasting, compliance and auditing, as well as team training and development.



What you'll need to succeed


To apply for this Senior Cost Accountant position you will need a minimum of five years' experience in a cost accounting role, preferably within the construction industry. You will have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or a related field with CPA or CMA certification being preferred. Experience working with Vista by Viewpoint/Trimble construction software accounting system is highly advantageous. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail and organizational skills.

You will receive a base salary ranging from $110k to $140k, which is negotiable commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package,
