Job Summary




Current Certification required.




One or more years of O.R. experience required.



  • Demonstrates ability, knowledge, and appropriate technical skills when assigned to various procedures in accordance with AORN Standards and SCHC policies and procedures.


  • Demonstrates necessary skills and knowledge to work with equipment.

  • Operates mechanical, electrical and air-powered equipment according to manufacturer's guidelines and ensures proper functioning prior to use.

  • Demonstrates ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise and professional manner.

  • Demonstrates necessary skills and knowledge regarding aseptic technique

Qualifications



*Please note that St. Christopher's Hospital for children requires BLS from the American Heart Association. If you have BLS from another affiliation, training will need to be completed and obtained thrugh the American Heart Association before your start date.


  • Completion and eligibility for certification from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.

  • Experience: Prior operating room experience as a surgical technologist preferred.
