This Senior Manager role is within WHRI for the WHRI Transformation Portfolio Strategy & Activation team. Our team is accountable for advancing the vision, strategy, and innovative thinking methodologies used in the transformation of how and what we offer. Directed by innovative approaches to community engagement and the patient experience, we design and deliver new programs, capabilities, and services that drive flywheel value, advance WHRI goals, and deepen our relationships internally and externally


Promotes health equity and experiences by building and activating strategies around health literacy, community impacts, and relationship management, leveraging data and best practices.


Conducts continuous market scans and market research efforts and deliver insights and recommendations.


Explores and analyzes data to find insights and drive decisions.


Shapes the strategy, design, and implementation of transformational initiatives and innovations (for example, new programs, products, services, capabilities) using the Walmart data and infrastructure.


Develops business cases, capability roadmaps, operational readiness plans, and resource management plans to successfully deliver within the transformation portfolio.


Leads or materially participates in customer, project, and department meetings and creates related materials.


Creates playbooks, change management plans, project plans, training materials, and stakeholder communications to direct the field execution and operations teams with accountability for successful implementation.


Actively drives the go-live preparations, planning, and implementation of new and innovative products, services, capabilities, and program activities.


Responsible for the end-to-end execution of transformation and/or innovation solutions with dependency on the dotted line Field Execution team.


Develops, tracks, and manages key performance indicators and success metrics for the innovation portfolio. Rolls up to broader department and organizational goals. Serves as the end-to-end business owner of product portfolio. Leverages user-centered-design/human-centered design and agile methodologies from concept through delivery.


Designs and delivers patient experience engagement strategies (for example, journey mapping, user/patient centered design, omnichannel engagement capabilities, needs assessments, measures to inform opportunities). Builds and maintains strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Identifies, cultivates, and manages strategic partnerships with community organizations, foundations, providers groups, and industry players. Leverages nuanced, out-of-the-box thinking to develop new delivery models for health care and research within the construct of a retail environment.


Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.


Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.


Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.


Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Minimum Qualifications...

Master's degree in public health, business, or related area.
Prior work experience with a sustained record of productivity at a strategic and operational level in the healthcare industry or in closely related health and life sciences fields.
Prior work experience with large and complex end-to-end program management (from ideation to design to delivery).
Prior work experience in portfolio and/or product management with successful design, execution, and scaling of new concepts/ innovations.
Prior work experience in data utilization.
Prior work experience in client-facing roles.
3 years' managerial experience.
Prior work experience in a high-growth environment to build a nascent operational infrastructure.
