Responsibilities


-Provide support for Samuel sustainability programs, the Samuel Energy Management and GHG reduction    Programs, and the environmental aspects of the Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) program.

-Collect and analyze sustainability and environmental data to understand performance against existing KPIs

-Ensure all Samuel facilities clearly understand and raise awareness and ownership of, leadership-endorsed,  sustainability/environmental objectives and targets 

-Work with the facilities to develop and manage programs to decrease environmental impacts of GHG  emissions, energy, and waste. 

-Maintain a repository of data and projects related to the ESG, Energy Management programs and GHG  reduction

-Support the preparation of annual disclosures, including our ESG report, CDP and EcoVadis submissions.

-Prepare regular status reports suitable for sharing with the facilities and posting to the Company’s intranet site. 

-Other environmental and sustainability related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned 

-May require travel from time to time within North America

-Work from Home & Office

 

Education


B.A./B.S. degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Environmental Studies, or a related field

 

Qualifications


-At least 2 years of working experience in a professional environmental or sustainability position

-Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to develop positive relationships and effectively influence key internal and external stakeholders.

-Willingness and desire to expand their skill sets and advance their own sustainability expertise

-Superior organization and project management skills. Ability to receive data in a variety of formats and analyze in a way that creates a product that aligns with team needs. 

-Willingness to be “hands-on” in developing sustainable processes with the corporate and facility teams

-Highly motivated self-starter that can operate independently with minimal or no supervision.

-Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially EXCEL).
