An Inclusive Policy & Advocacy Internship will be responsible for assisting Elevance Health in ensuring people with disabilities and older adults are included in healthcare and essential life discussions that will affect independence and access to care and services, as well as reducing healthcare disparities and equities.

How you will make an impact:

  • Conducting policy and demographic research
  • Tracking relevant legislation and news impacting disability and healthcare related policy
  • Engagement with disability and aging stakeholders
  • Planning stakeholder meeting and conference participation
  • Reviewing and responding to Requests for Proposals, and collateral development
Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the Summer 2024 internship.
  • Actively pursuing a graduate degree in related area at an accredited university during internship
  • Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills
  • Excellent Public Speaking and Presentation skills

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy.
