Job Description:
Kegman, Inc., a service-disabled veteran and woman-owned small business headquartered in Melbourne, Florida is searching for a senior project scheduler to assist our government customer at Patrick Space Force Base in managing complex projects that support monitoring nuclear treaty compliance and advanced proliferation technologies to preserve our nation’s security.  If you have project management experience and are skilled at the intricate scheduling details associated with project management, then this might be the perfect job for you!  The scheduler will coordinate with the individual government project managers (PMs) to develop, maintain and manage resource-loaded schedules then will keep those schedules current and monitor project costs for the PMs.  Each of those schedules will then be incorporated into an integrated master schedule (IMS).  The schedules and schedule-related deliverables (e.g., status reports, issues logs, etc.) will be produced using the government's suite of tools (Jira/Confluence and MS Project). 

* This is a full-time, on-site job at Patrick Space Force Base. There is no remote work option.   

* Must have an active and fully-adjudicated U.S. Government security clearance to be eligible to apply and, therefore must also be a U.S. citizen.

* No relocation assistance offered.


JOB TASKS
  • Coordinate with government PMs to create and maintain an IMS using JIRA/Confluence and/or MS Project
  • Provide recommendations to government PMs for establishing project structures to include:
    • Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
    • Resource Allocation
    • Resource Leveling
    • Task Relationships
    • Project Interdependencies
  • Provide resource allocation/needs recommendations to senior government officials and PMs
  • Analyze project schedules and provide recommendations to government PM staff for resolving budgeting and scheduling issues
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS
  • BS/BA + 5-8 years of proven project scheduling experience 
DESIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS
  • Current PMP or PMI-SP Certification
  • Experience supporting programs/projects within the federal government
SKILLS - KNOWLEDGE - ABILITIES
  • Proficient in using JIRA/Confluence application suite (primary tools for this job)
  • Proficient in using project scheduling software/apps (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
  • Advanced skills in using MS Office suite, including Access and SharePoint
  • Highly organized self-starter able to plan, organize, and follow-through on tasks
  • Effective decision-making; exercise sound judgement
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Documented experience supporting senior government leaders and other professionals; able to communicate clearly and confidently with senior executives
 OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have an active and fully adjudicated (not interim) US Government security clearance
  • Must complete and pass an employment drug test
