POSITION SUMMARY:

Primarily responsible for performing assembly operations and testing of electronic parts. Responsible for compliance to Quality Systems Regulations (QSR).

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assembling cable assemblies, mechanical assembly, thru hole soldering, electronics enclosures/housing, programming, testing of products and soldering of PCB components.
  • Must be able to identify various electronic components and component package types.
  • Responsible for quality of product produced on the SMT machines (correct parts, polarity, solder quality, etc.).
  • Perform final inspection of completed assemblies; run final assembly testers, burn-in equipment and also responsible for function testing of completed electronic assembly.
  • Maintain production records for traceability.
  • Provide assistance in hand assembly and inspection areas when needed.
  • Responsible for training and learning products assembly by following training guidelines.
  • Shall maintain compliance to ESD standards and requirements.
  • Train co-workers and assist with the resolution of problems if they arise.
  • Perform necessary TQC and documentation sign-offs.
  • Responsible for entering data into JDE – proper work scan tracking.
  • Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines. Performs necessary preventative maintenance.
  • May work on special projects/assignments upon request.


Qualication:


Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in soldering and electronic assembly required.
  • Must have a demonstrated understanding of SMT and assembly process.
  • Current IPC 610 certified or have the ability to pass and maintain IPC 610 certification is required.
  • Ability to interpret IPC 610 standards and customer specifications for acceptability.
  • Ability to understand and follow blue prints, Bills of materials and assembly drawings/instructions.
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, communicate and follow instructions in English language.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts and practices is desirable.
