Summary:



Reporting to the Director of Development, the Manager of Foundation Development assists in identifying, engaging and soliciting prospects for philanthropic gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations or estates. The position is assigned specific priorities and programs, manages a portfolio of prospective donors, and has metric and programmatic goals.



Responsibilities:



Develops and implements strategy for securing major gifts in targeted areas including working with various internal and external constituencies. Develops support for fundraising efforts by effectively involving stakeholders, such as volunteers, clinical and non-clinical staff.


Drafts proposals, letters and agreements to cultivate, engage and close charitable contributions.


Identifies potential major donors based on information from foundation donor research, Development Directors, Raiser s Edge database, and external contacts.


Cultivates and assists in soliciting prospects for major, corporate, leadership, foundation, or planned gifts to the Foundations. Extensive contact with potential donors, corporate officials, foundation officers and/or financial advisors to generate gift proposals.


Assists in coordinating volunteer and fundraising/networking groups for Foundations.
