Responsibilities

The Florida State University College of Medicine, Department of Behavioral Sciences and Social Medicine seeks a candidate for Director of the Florida Blue Center for Rural Health Research and Policy, a full-time, Tenure Track Faculty position at Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.


The candidate would be expected to work with rural stakeholders to help grow the Center as a research and policy resource for rural communities locally and nationally. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop and/or continue an independent line of research as indicated by a strong record of publications and extramural funding (commensurate with their rank); and participate in teaching. Rural research area is open and may include public health, clinical health, implementation and dissemination science, or health services/ health policy.

Qualifications

The applicant should hold a doctoral degree (e.g. PhD, DrPH, ScD, MD, etc.) in the behavioral sciences, social sciences, public health, or medical fields with applied rural health experience.
