Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a two-year position in Film at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. Candidates should have expertise in at least one of the following areas: screenwriting, directing, and/or post-production. Kenyon's film program leans in the direction of narrative filmmaking, but non-fiction filmmakers are encouraged to apply as well. Candidates should also be able to teach a film history/studies/theory class of their choosing and will be expected to teach the Introduction to Film class. This position has a teaching load of five classes a year.The film program is housed in the state-of-the-art Wright Center facility, which includes a soundstage, post-production facility and 35-seat screening room. Candidates must possess an M.F.A. or other terminal degree. Applications should be submitted by January 15th, 2024 for full consideration. Appointment begins July 1, 2024, but on-campus presence isn't necessary until mid-August.
