Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:



  • Experience with Azure Entra ID.

  • Deploy and maintain containerized applications.

  • Experience building services in a public cloud such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Experience building traditional services in a private cloud such as VMWare.

  • Experience with troubleshooting enterprise network connectivity issues.

  • Experience with team collaboration software (e.g. Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or similar).

  • Experience with managing Windows or Linux server operating systems.

  • Experience with scripting or automation platforms such as Python, PowerShell, Ansible, etc.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with Terraform.

  • Experience with managing database workloads.

  • Experience with information security best practices in securing workloads.

  • Experience with Visual Studio Code.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience


Job Description:


General Description Overview:We are adding an individual to our team to be on the front line of a cloud adoption strategy for TXST. The perfect candidate will have experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services. Automation will be a key component in the role.



About Us:We are the Systems Administration Team that handles public and private cloud infrastructure as well as running the critical services for campus to operate. This includes but isn't limited to Windows, Linux, Storage, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, etc.



About You:We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of building out cloud-native technologies. You should be familiar with how to deploy systems in a hybrid environment. The ideal candidate should possess a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team environment, while also demonstrating the capability to solve problems in a self-directed manner. Most importantly you should be comfortable in an environment where you can freely give and receive feedback while designing solutions to run in either public or private cloud.


Job Duties:



  • Develop solutions in either a public or private cloud environment.

  • Research new cloud technologies and document for support.

  • Translate high-level requirements and design documents into interactive layouts and templates.

  • Collaborate with requestors to design, implement, and support cloud native technologies.

  • Provide support for application services managed by the Systems Administration team.

  • Cross-train in other areas of the team.

  • Communicate regularly with teammates about problems, solutions, best practices, and other technical topics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and contribute to the overall design and development process.
