Job Description
Visiting Scholar to pursue specialized research training in the laboratory of Dr. Nagaraj Kerur in the Department of Ophthalmology to study innate immune mechanisms in the eye and brain; designs and conducts complex experiments in regards to cell signaling and mouse models of retinal degeneration and Alzheimer's disease; assists with laboratory maintenance and mouse colony; participates in journal clubs and laboratory meetings; participates in writing research papers for publication; presents research findings at local, national or international meetings;
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in biological/health sciences/professional doctorate or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a research capacity desired.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
